Raymond Paul Neselroad Sr., age 77, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2026.

He was born November 8, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late William Neselroad and Gertrude Ellen Neselroad (Quant).

Ray graduated from Lawson High School and married the love of his life, Rebecca Neselroad (Sneed), in 1970. He served in the United States Army as a sergeant and was eventually deployed to Vietnam. Ray was honorably discharged in November 1974. He later drove over the road in a semi before beginning his career at Ryerson Metal Supplier, where he eventually retired.

In his younger years, Ray and his brother spent many years racing at I-70 Speedway before it shut down. If you knew Ray, you knew the strong-willed, stubborn, and loving man he was. He had a deep love for fishing and owned many boats throughout the years, spending much of his adult life in Branson on Taneycomo Lake. He even had a second home away from home at Tanglewood Lodge, where he made many friends over the years. Ray took great pride in the family he created and often went above and beyond, even taking in extra children and friends throughout the years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Neselroad.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Neselroad (Sneed); daughter, Tara (Neselroad) Kesterson (Michael); son, Raymond Neselroad Jr. (Mindee); brother, Danny Edward Neselroad (Rita); grandchildren, Caitlyn (Kesterson) Barnes (Ace), Cody Kesterson, Gunner Schanuth, Tyler Snider (Mikalah), and Katie Snider; great-grandchildren, Selene Barnes and Wyatt Barnes; extra sons, Wessley Schanuth (Kayla) and Lucas Hardwell; extra daughter, Jaki Baldwin; and many other family members.
