Richard (Rick) Ronald Johnson, 74 of Gladstone passed away peacefully June 9, 2026 at Kansas City Hospice House with his wife Debra Jane Johnson by his side. 

There will be a celebration of Life July 18, 2026 at Moose Lodge #2414 at 2537 Blue Ridge Boulevard from 3-6 pm.

Rick was born November 23, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Jess and Louise Johnson.

 Rick owned Richard Johnson Trucking until his retirement in 2017. He was also a partner in The Monroe Inn in Northeast Kansas City. He was fun-loving and kind and loved to joke around. He loved fishing with his son and spending time with his friend, Barry Westmoreland.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kerri Ann. 

He leaves in passing his wife, Debbie of 28 yrs, together a son, Caleb Richard Johnson of the home, 2 daughters, Jessica (Tom) Frost of Independence, MO, Christina Nash of Lee’s Summit, MO, grandchildren, Amanda Michelle and Timothy, a sister, Sandra Werkowich of Gladstone, MO, a brother, Michael Johnson of Lenexa, KS and several nieces and nephews.
