Rickey Don Newman

Rickey Newman was born on May 31,1949 in Leavenworth, Kansas, to Roy Newman & Helen (Ray) Newman. He departed this life on June 5, 2024.  He lived in Edwardsville, Kansas He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn (Basham) Newman, his mother Helen (Ray) Newman, his father Roy Newman & a daughter Kathleen Graham. He leaves 2 sons, Franklin Newman & Edward Brown & 3 daughters, Pamela Newman, Paula Wright & Wilma Bucher, & 1 son in law Timothy Cooper, & 1 brother Michael Newman & 2 sisters Debbie(Newman) Thompson & Terri Newman, 1 brother in law Charles Basham & 1 sister in law Brenda Basham, & 30 grandkids & 42 great grandkids. He graduated from Basehor high school. He served in the military in the Army from 1969 to 1971. He enjoyed fishing & camping with his family, & spending time with family. After he retired he enjoyed spending time with his family, working on projects with his son Franklin Newman. He is our dad, our hero and he is our Angel now
