Ricky Raynard Foster Sr.

Ricky Raynard Foster, Sr., gained his Heavenly Wings on Thursday, August 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by both parents, Earl and Fannie Foster, four brothers, Ray, Earl, Jr., Darryl and Rodney. One nephew Antwain Damon Foster and one great nephew, Derrick Thurman.

Ricky was baptized at Metropolitan AME Zion Church where he served as an youth usher. Ricky joined Macedonia as an adult and attended when his health permitted. Ricky loved spending time with his children, his many nieces and nephews and his family.

He received his childhood education at Linwood Elementary and graduated from Lincoln High School. Ricky moved to Arizona after getting married and returned to Kansas City, due to his illness.

He was employed by Westin Crown Center and KU Medical Center. His hobbies were listening to music, playing dominoes, and true favorite pastime watching TV! He was a lovable, full of joy, spirited person, No matter what situation he always praised God and gave him the glory.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Ricky Jr., Atlanta, and Raynard (Madelyn) New York, two grandchildren, Greyson Zion Foster and Kaiden Amari Foster, New York; one brother, Ronald Foster; four sisters, Debra Foster Payne, Betty (BJ) Hagger, Jackie Kincy and Latonya Foster all of Kansas City. Special niece, DeAudra Foster and nephew and niece, Dominic and Candi Foster. Childhood friends, Tommy and Ronnell Jackson, Willie Davenport, Carl Murray and Joe Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday September 20, 2024 at 3 P.M at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., KCMO 64127.
