Ruth Denice
Tainor
February 19, 1951 – April 1, 2026
Dee (Denise) Trainor was born on February 19, 1951, and passed away on April 1, 2026.
Dee lived a full and vibrant life, dedicating her time and talents to many roles throughout the years. She worked as a nurse, owned a bar, operated a thrift shop, and was deeply involved in her community as a volunteer coordinator and fundraiser. Her contributions included work with KKFI, KCPT, and the WWI Museum. She also conducted estate sales and expressed her creativity as an artist.
More than anything, Dee became the best friend of everyone she met. She always had an ear to listen, never judged, and only offered advice when it was truly needed. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Trainor, and her beloved basset hounds, Tucker, Abby, and Cooper.
A celebration of life will be held as a bar crawl on Saturday, May 9th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The gathering will begin at The Piano Room (332 W. 75th Street), continue to Patrick’s Bar and No Grill (8251 Wornall Road), and conclude at Flo’s Poke-A-Dot Lounge (8934 Wornall Road).
Transportation will be provided between locations via bus. Light snacks will be available, and donations of food are welcome.
