Sandra/Sandy Sue Shores (Ashley) aged 77, passed away peacefully on March 9 th , 2026 in Kansas City, MO. Born on August 4 th , 1948 in Warsaw, MO. Sandy lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.

Sandy is survived by her beloved spouse Paula Vance, her sister Emma Niccoli ( Jeremy ), her daughter Shelby Smith (John), her stepdaughter Nichole Pottorff, her stepsons Michael Rash and James Shay. Her cherished grandchildren, Kinzleigh Branham, Sarafina Coronado, Aurora Smith, Zayne Baker, Addison Pottorff, and Wyatt Pottorff. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Sandy was predeceased by her mother Emogine Niccoli, step father Pete Niccoli, brothers James(Jim) Franklin Bledsoe, William Eugine Bledsoe, DeeRoy Bledsoe and sister Paula Kay Niccoli.

Sandy had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in fishing and spending time surrounded by nature. She was an avid reader who appreciated the quiet moment of life but also thrived in the warmth of family gatherings. Her holiday meals were legendary among those who knew her. A true testament to her love of bringing people together. Sandy’s generosity extended beyond her immediate family as she dedicated herself to helping children whenever she could. Her open heart and willingness to lend a hand left an indelible mark on countless lives.

Known for her ability to connect with anyone she met, Sandy made friends wherever she went. Her kind spirit and genuine care for others earned her the admiration of many. She was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be dearly missed.
