Sharon Denise (Carolina)

Sharon Carolina was born February 3, 1968 in Dermott, Arkansas to the union of Mr. William Carolina Jr. and Mrs. Maple Lee Martin Carolina. She was the only child born into this union. She was baptized at the age of 9 years old by the late Dr. T.L. Arnick of Skylight Missionary Baptist Church.

Sharon was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School district. Sharon has worked in many different job areas, but God gave her a talent for doing hair. Her mother called them “God given hands.” She never had her own children, but was blessed to be part of a lot of children’s lives and was able to watch them grow into very successful individuals, which made her proud.

Sharon departed this life on March 26, 2025 at University Health (Truman Medical Center). She was preceded in death by her parents-her mother, Maple Couser, and father, William Carolina Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory a host of aunts, an uncle, cousins and many friends and a special young lady-Kiara Ward.

A funeral service will be held on April 9, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC, 2800 E. 18th St., Kansas City, MO 64127. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, with the service following immediately at 11:00 AM.
