Sheila Irene Coy

Sheila Irene Coy, 57, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at North KC hospice house in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on November 18, 1967, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Doyle W. Coy and Shirley L. (Painter) Waller.

Sheila enjoyed the simple pleasures of country living. She loved animals of any kind and especially cat's. Sheila looked at her fur babies as her children. Sheila has rescued many animals due to homeless, starving or wounded. She enjoyed remolding her home in her spare time, she enjoyed having friends over for movie night, and entraining her friends. More than anything, he cherished spending time with family and friends, especially her partner, Dawna Walton of the home, and her sister Debbie with long phone conversations of sister-talk. Without hesitation, she fixed things she didn't break.

Sheila started working in her career at an early age as a bouncer at a night club in Kansas City, Missouri called Tootsies. Where later she became a night security guard, she worked there for a year or so, and she had the opportunity to work at Honeywell Federal manufacturing where she made ID badges for the employees, she later advanced up in her position as a supervisor for the day shift. Starting March 2018, Sheila worked for Kansas corrections as 1st Sargent at Lansing correctional facility till present.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley L. (Painter) Waller.

Sheila is survived by her sister, Debbie (Coy) Yearber of Jacksonville, Arkansas and her partner, Dawna Walton of the home, Kansas City, Kansas.

There will be no visitaion and services will be private.
