Susan Carol Bayne (Cravens), 66, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.

Born on January 12, 1960, in Houston, Texas, Susan was the beloved wife of Scott Matthew Bayne for 40 years. She was the mother of one son, Danny Kirkpatrick and his wife, Sarah, and three daughters, Melanie Marie Morgan, Jamie Irene Miranda, and Krista Marie Meyers and her husband, Ben.

Susan lived life on her own terms. She took risks no matter what the stakes, rode the fastest rides with her arms in the air, and, if a Madonna song came on, danced until the last note. Susan was known for speaking her mind without hesitation. You truly never knew what she was going to say, and most of the time, it was quite entertaining.

Susan had a special love for animals, but her bond with her dogs was truly unmatched. They were more than pets, they were family, bringing her comfort, happiness, and companionship. She cared for them with the same devotion and joy she gave to those she loved most.

Above all, Susan loved her grandchildren. She was blessed with 13: Chloe Kirkpatrick, Landon Pappas, RJ Robinson, Kylie Kirkpatrick, Ashlyn Wendt, Cadyn Kirkpatrick, Kane Miranda, Gavin Kirkpatrick, Bryce Miranda, McKenna Kirkpatrick, Natalie Meyers, Tyler Miranda, and Nathan Meyers. Her heart was full in their presence. They brought endless joy, and there was never a dull moment when they were together.

Susan is survived by her husband, Scott Matthew Bayne, and was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn Ann Frame (Cravens) and Roger Wayne Cravens.

Susan will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her honest opinions, her lively spirit, and the cherished friendships she shared with those closest to her.

Susan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
