Susan Marie Wiseman, 65, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born on April 22, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Donald L. McAllister and Lois Neveln McAllister. She grew up in Carlisle, Iowa, before later moving to Salem, Arkansas, where she met Carl Wiseman. They married and welcomed three children together. Susan later became a Registered Nurse, dedicating many years to caring for others with kindness and compassion. Susan's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother and an adoring grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Whether gathered around a table playing cards or poker, floating the lazy river at Oceans of Fun, or cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs every Sunday, Susan made every moment special. Her laughter, warmth, and love created memories her family will cherish forever. She also found strength and lifelong friendships through Alcoholics Anonymous and nursing school. Susan's caring spirit touched countless lives. She never hesitated to help someone in need, and her kindness, selflessness, and genuine love for others left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lois McAllister; her beloved brother, Rob McAllister; and her former husband, Carl Wiseman, with whom she shared three children. She is survived by her children, Paul Wiseman (Lori Wiseman), John Wiseman, and Nicole Beathard (Shelby Beathard); her treasured grandchildren, Sheridan Wiseman, Aiden Wiseman, Harvey Jenkins, Charlotte Hall, Madison Beathard, Haiden Beathard, and Levi Beathard; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Susan's legacy is one of love, compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she cared for. She lived a life of service, friendship, and faith in others. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the lives she touched will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. One of Susan’s favorite prayers, and one that held special meaning throughout her life, was the Serenity Prayer: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
