Terry Lindsey was born on May 8, 1974, to Rose Lindsey and Terry Williams in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Carver Christian School and the Kansas City School of the Performing Arts, where he learned to play the clarinet. Throughout his childhood, Terry attended several schools in the city.
Terry, affectionately known as "Man," was also a proud member of the famous Marching Cobras. He was honored to be one of the few performers chosen to wear the Cobra snakehead. He enjoyed traveling to many cities, states, and even countries with the group.
Terry accepted Christ at an early age. He later rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where he proudly served as an usher until he received his wings.
He found great joy in being a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord. Terry loved greeting everyone who entered Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with his jovial personality and warm, welcoming smile.
Terry worked for KC Parks & Recreation, along with a variety of other jobs. He had a talent for detailing cars and enjoyed working on them for friends and family. Always eager to learn, he took pride in acquiring new skills—including learning to bake cakes and make donuts, which he found especially fun.
Terry loved spending time with family and friends, and he enjoyed fishing. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and an enthusiastic follower of WWE wrestling. He never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.
Terry departed this life on April 17, 2025, at Research Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Williams; great-grandmother, Ruby Nolan; great-grandfather, Johnny Jameson; grandparents, John Lindsey, Anna and Howard Williams; great-aunt, Faydell Baker; uncles Bernard Williams, Michael Williams, Jesse Williams, and John Lindsey Jr.; and a special cousin, Charles Lindsey.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Rose Lindsey-Wright (Solomon); sister, Tiffany Ray; sister/Cousin Frances Gouldsmith and Yolanda Hill; brother, Eric Lindsey (Leticia); children, Terry Lindsey, Tra'Von Lindsey, Ta'Quan Lindsey, Tierra Brown, Ke'Terria Lindsey-Faceson, Ter'Keese Lindsey, Ter'Keeha Lindsey, Keleeah Lindsey, and Te'Ron Lindsey; grandchildren, Ah'Rhema Lindsey, Jaylen Lindsey, and Aniellie Poole; uncle, Carl Williams, and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
