TOCHA L. REED

Tocha Louise Reed, 43, was born January 4, 1977 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ray B. Reed Sr., and Lenora D. McKinney.  She was also raised with the help of her stepfather, Willie B. Mckinney.

Tocha was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from North East High in 1995. After high school, she went to work at Gates BBQ, while attending trade school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, but quickly realized that this was not the career she wanted. Tocha started working for the Kansas City Public Schools as a Lunch Lady, until around 2015. She then went on to join forces with Children’s Mercy Environmental Cleaning Service.

Tocha never married, however, she built a lifelong relationship with her soulmate, Robert Ray Alexandre Jr. She had a Green thumb, loved watching WWE and was a loyal fan of the TV show, Modern Family.

Tocha departed this life on Sunday, March 8, 2020, sleeping at home. Her mother, Lenora D. McKinney, who passed in 2016; father, Ray B. Reed Sr.; and stepfather, Willie B. McKinney all  preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, siblings, Tina Powell, Ray Reed, Andrea McKinney, Adrian McKinney, and Rhonda Wooten; niece, Noha McKinney; nephew, Roman McKinney and other family and friends.
