Tony Chavez Ross

Tony Chavez Ross was born Dec 18, 1960 in Kansas City, KS to Perry & Iula Ross.

Tony graduated from Bishop Hogan High School Class of 1979. He joined the US Airforce in 1982 & received a honorable discharge in 1990. After being employed with the VA Hospital for many, many years he retired in 2016.

Tony accepted Christ at a young age. He attended St. Teresa’s in his younger years and became a faithful member of Holy Light Missionary Baptist Church of KC MO.

Tony was an avid sports fan & loved the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders. Growing up he was a talented athlete. Tony worked as a bat boy for the Kansas City Royals and was a ball boy for the Kansas City Kings where he got to know all of the players. In High School he played, football, basketball & baseball and was pretty good at them all. He always had a nice car and took pride in his rides.

On June 21, 2013 Tony was united in marriage to Dora (Tarin) Ross & to their union two children were born. He absolutely adored his children. He was a wonderful, loving & caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle & friend.

Tony departed his life on Monday Jan 15th, 2024 in the comfort of his own home. His Father Perry Ross, Brother Michael Harris, Sister Monica Ross & Grandmother Jennie Mae Harris preceded him in death.

Leaving to cherish his memory and celebrate his homegoing are: Loving wife Dora Ross, Son Montez Ross, Daughter-Destiny Ross, Mother Iula Ross, Two Nephews-Darron Ross & Martell Crotch and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 31, 2024, visitation will be from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. with services beginning at 11 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., KCMO 64127.

Burial : Leavenworth National Cemetery on Thursday February 1, 2024 at 11 A.M.
