Tonya Laree Dillard departed her earthly home on July 21, 2026. She was the oldest of two children. Born to the union of Carol Gibbs and Van Dillard Sr., Tonya graduated from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri, in 1982. She was employed by Casey’s Microfilming in Kansas City, Missouri, for several years. Tonya accepted Christ at an Early age. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, hosting family gatherings, two-stepping, singing, karaoke, and the casino. Tonya is preceded in death by her son Keith Alan Brown Jr, and both parents, Carol (Gibbs)Townsend and Van Dillard Sr.She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, LaToya Andrews and Kiara Brown. Eight grandchildren. Melvin Jr, Lee’Anthony, A’Morah Todd, Kei’Mhia, Kei’Monn Brown, Mason, Mi’Yon Young, and Maal’lai Terry, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services LLC. The visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 pm, with the service to follow promptly at 3:00 pm.
