In Loving memory of Valerie Anne Berger Baggerly. 

Valerie A. Baggerly passed away at home on June 10, 2026. Valerie was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on April 4, 1941. She has lived in the Kansas City area since 1955. Valerie was married to Larry Baggerly for 10 years. 

She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and her Master’s degree in Psychiatric Social Work at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. She worked at Traveler’s Aid Society and Western Missouri Mental Health. In her later years, she was a substitute teacher in the Kansas City, Missouri, and the Central School Districts.

 Valerie was a talented artist and excelled at watercolor landscapes and pen and ink drawings. She was a very loving and supportive mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son Nicholas Baggerly and her parents, Mary Jane RogersBerger and Donald Walter Berger. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Baggerly and Diane Baggerly Zulcic, three grandsons, Louis Ferguson, Alan Zulcic, and Denis Zulcic, and nephew Marshall Crumley, who graciously cared for her at home.
