William Daniel Nelson Sr.

William “Daniel” Nelson was born October 1, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri to Arthur Earl Nelson Sr and Genevieve Bennett Warren.
Daniel was educated in the Kansas City Missouri school district. Daniel worked at All Care Sweeping until his health started to fail. He was a baseball coach and umpire. He was active in the community and helped with the youth.

Daniel met Diana in 1976 and married in 1978. Daniel enjoyed boxing and car rides, listening to music. Daniel loved to spend time with family and fish fries! Daniel departed this life on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Preceded in death are his parents Arthur Earl & Genevieve Nelson, siblings Richard, Rudolph, Ernest, Early, Walter, James, Joseph, Johnny, Roy, Harold, Virginia, Darlene, Ruth, Thelma, one son, Dana Nelson.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Diana Nelson. His children : Elliott Nixon (Keisha), Linda K, Sandra K (Mike), Damon Joe (Kelly), David John, William D Jr, Danielle, Bertha, Celeste (Elden), Colin, Crystal, Corey (Shannon), Kevin (Angie), Kimberly, and Karen (Taiwan) ; sisters, Mary and Della. He has 47 grand-children and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 27, 2024, visitation will be held from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. with services beginning at 11 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., Kansas City, Mo 64127.
