Yvonne Elizabeth Tyler, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born
on September 16, 1951 in Louisiana, Missouri to the union of Nerissa Marie Shannon and John Raymond Shannon.
From this union, two children were born, Yvonne Elizabeth Tyler and Nerissa Marie Coleman. Both parents and one
infant sibling sister, preceded her in death. She attended Central High School and graduated in 1969.
After graduation, she furthered her education at Penn Valley where she completed her Associate’s Degree.
She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank for many years and then joined the workforce with Walmart as a door
greeter.

In her spare time, she enjoyed being with family and friends. Family brought out her infectious and contagious
smile, in which could light up a room. Yvonne was overjoyed with visits most recently by her granddaughter, greatgranddaughter
and sister. She also loved to eat Gates BBQ, Churches Chicken and her favorite drink was a Pepsi.
She was a resident at Timberlake Center for over 10 years, she developed many friendships with other residents and
loved to talk about her family as well as theirs. Yvonne was formerly married to Leroy Tyler, Jr. and from
this union two children were born, LeRoy III and Brandyce.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories, her children, LeRoy III and Brandyce; grandchildren, LeShae, Tanaja,
Koby, Mariah, Jalen, and Brennan; five great-grandchildren, Lynell, Abdul, Asiya, Leiylah, and Mina;
brother, Orville Johnson (Deloris) of Saint Louis, MO; sisters, Nancy Porter of Springfield IL, and Nerissa
Coleman (Richard) of Kansas City, MO; and she will be sadly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives,
and friends.
