Basic Services of Funeral Director, Staff & Overhead

Our charge for the services of the funeral director and staff includes but is not limited to: staff to respond to initial requests for service, arrangement conference with family or responsible party, coordination with the crematory, cemetery or other parties involved with the final disposition of the deceased, preparation and filing of necessary notices, authorizations and permits. This fee for our basic service and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements that you select. (Note: This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving of remains.)

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law, embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with a viewing. FORWARDING OF REMAINS

Our charge for this service includes local transfer of remains to our facility, basic services of the funeral director and staff, embalming, local transportation of remains to KCI Airport and necessary authorizations. This charge does not include merchandise, viewing, ceremonies, shipping charges or other preparation of remains. If necessary, a transportation charge for non-local transfer of remains to a receiving facility will be added to this charge.

RECEIVING OF REMAINS

Our charge for this service includes local transfer of remains to our facility, basic services of funeral director and staff, other preparation of remains and necessary authorizations. This charge does not include merchandise, viewing, ceremonies or shipping charges.

DIRECT CREMATION

From $845 to $1,445

Our charge for this service includes the removal of remains (within 35 mile radius), care of remains, basic services of the funeral director and staff, transportation to the crematory and obtaining necessary authorizations and permits. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternate container. Alternate containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provided are: corrugated cremation boxes ($100) and any cremation casket (see separate list for pricing). This price doesn’t include merchanise.

State and/or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container. Either a grave liner or a outer burial liner will satisfy these requirements. Certain cemeteries may also require additional fee for the grave set-up, holiday or weekend fees and the opening and closing of the grave.
