Jennifer Galvin, (fondly known as Aunt Fer Fer) born on June 12th 1947 in South Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jean Foss, Clifford H Foss Jr. and husband, Tom Galvin and brother Clifford H Foss III. She is survived by her brother David Foss (Michelle), nieces and nephews, and great niece and nephews who all received their treasured and beautifully crocheted Aunt Fer Fer blanket! A proud graduate of Southwest High School in Kansas City, she went on to earn the highest honor in Girl Scouts, the Curved Bar Award—a reflection of her leadership, perseverance, and commitment to excellence from an early age. She carried those same values of hard work and dedication throughout her life. For more than 25 years, she worked for Curtin Matheson Scientific (CMS) where she was respected for her reliability, kindness, and unwavering work ethic.In her late 20’s she was a cancer survivor back when Chemotherapy was “experimental” and enjoyed 50 years being cancer free until her recent new battle with liver cancer. You can find her name on the cancer survivors memorial on the Country Club Plaza.She shared a loving life with her husband, Tom Galvin and treasured every moment spent with her family. She had a special love for cats and never missed a chance to dote on her furry companions, Beau Beau, Ember and Missy. She relished her reputation as the neighborhood cat lady that never turned away a hungry stray cat and often found them loving homes. Above all, she will be remembered for her deep love of family, her creativity, and her generous heart. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.She will be dearly missed.Memorial Service will be held at:Redeemer fellowship church, 9135 Haskins St. Lenexa KS66215Tuesday Feb 17th at 10:00 am.
